Sub4Sub?

I've Got It
I have maybe a stupid question but i would still like input. Whats the point of Sub4Sub? I've heard everything from "To get you past the first 100 subs" or "To get you higher SEO". But is any of that even true? In my mind if it was then this forum would all be one big Sub4Sub website. What are your guys thoughts? Have you ever tried it? if so then how did it work? and if not, why? Just curious.

i've never tried it myself, but from what i've heard it just gives you a quick boost in subscribers, which on the face of it sounds great. however they do not translate into an increase in views, likes, or comments etc. Its like all your subscribers are fake accounts that will never interact with your content. so its pretty much pointless in terms of actually developing your channel long term.

Don't do it unless they're going to be active subscribers by commenting, like, etc... (which 95% of them won't). Also from past experiences it left me dishearten. As I had 30 ish subs on an old channel but when I posted a video it only got like 2 views, so then I automatically think my video was sh*t. On top of that nobody comments on what was good/bad about the video so I didn't know what was wrong. I much prefer my YouTube life now even though I have half the subs more people are commenting, liking and being active. It's makes me feel so much better.

I have never tryed Sub4sub, but it never works for any good, ofc you will have the sub number, but you will never get any views frome them (dead subs) so I do not recomend it at all!

I made an article on the dangers of sub4sub. You can find it in the article and guides section on this site. I personally have tried it once or twice, but it does absolutely nothing except look like you have more subscribers than you really do. I recommend you never try it because it is obvious when you do it a lot because you will have way more subscribers than views.

Yeah, slightly misleading title. I just read it and thought "GTFO AND READ THE RULES!" until I luckily realized he's not at such a low level :p

"Remember, kids. Don't do sub4sub. Not even once"
Sorry guys, ill see if i can change it :/

Well, to be fair, from my own personal experience and from watching other people, only about 1/10 of your sub base is going to watch any one video. So if you have 20 subs, more than likely only 2 or 3 are going to watch any one video. So, you were actually doing fine. Haha

I'd rather have 30 active, engaged subs then 300 uninterested audience members. Getting feedback and acknowledgement lets you know you're doing a good job, plus it broadens your base as their friends and subs see their activity.
