Starting A Gaming Channel

I'd say you should try OBS, it's free and i've been using it for a few months now and I really like it. I also think, make sure you have everything set before you actually start your channel... take it from me, because I wasn't fully able to make my channel look better in the beginning, I think it hurt my channel in a way. At the time, I didn't have a webcam (or a good facecam at that) or a good mic ect. Now, I have those and it has helped a lot in growing my channel.

OBS and Camtasia are good... Know about OBS just from reviews and can tell you it is good.. But i use Camtasia so i recommend it...

Best bet is to google around for free game capture software. At a quick glance I can suggest:

Open Broadcast Software (OBS)
Dxtory
Shadowplay
Fraps

You'll want to pick a program that makes file sizes suitable for your rig. An hour of 1080p video can be anywhere from 20-200gb depending on what program you use.

Honestly the watermark isn't something that bothers me more than that as long as the content is good! I would say save up for Bandicam, it is so worth it. The cropping feature is amazing ^^ And OBS is super good too! It's free if I'm not mistaken.

Free recording software:
MSI Afterburner
OBS
Shadowplay (if you have an nVidia card)

Never upload a video with a watermark on it as it makes you look like an amateur, and just looks tacky. Plus there is no reason to as there are perfectly good free alternatives.

Another thing, DON'T already upload game footage that's been done to death and oversaturating Youtube (Call of Duty, Battlefield, Happy Wheels, Minecraft, Garry's Mod, etc)

If you've got an Nvidia graphics card 600 series or higher you'll get Shadowplay for free which is what I use and it's amazeballs :D
