Starting a Channel

I have had a channel before but I stopped doing it so need to restart so I have been debating a name is Night Train Lane a good channel name. Should I get like a bunch of videos set up and my banner and what not before I start or better to start and work that all out later?

I'd say sort some videos out and do channel art before advertising yourself, simply because people won't want to like or subscribe to something that's empty!

yeah get your channel art sorted and stuff, a nice channel with art and banners is more appealing to the eye

Me too I started getting good feedbacks and subscriptions when I first added my thumbnail.. But then I need to really think of a concept. Then suddenly people like my profile and subscribed. All the videos there are just junk experiment to see if my experiment is working out or what. Now I'm on my next program which is doing an intro.. I love doing ine step at a time. Until when I start my channel I will just routinely do what I have started.. :)

Acting like you are more professional than you really are is important.

I made about 4 or 5 videos, uploaded them as unlisted and uploaded my artwork before I started my channel.

The reason for that was:
1. I wanted to look professional
2. I wanted to have enough videos to back fill my "lazy" days.

I'm not speaking from youtube experience, but just my own habits. APPEARANCE IS EVERYTHING, fake it until you make it

Your channel doesn't have to be the best, just keep it simple and informative and you can always change it later once you start getting more experienced and a feel for how you want your channel to look.

I think the best way to work it your way from the bottom is startin to thinking about the content of channel first, then you can think of anything else like the name or etc
