Sound Card Problems

MF Patrick

Don't worry about it .
So after a month of inactivity I finally got some time to record .
I always had problems with my sound card but it was always just a driver problem .
Driver crash and after a restart , everything was ok .
The problem now is , it fucks up my recordings aswell .
I'm not able to do live commentaries because of the background noise and weird sounds .
It used to be ok a month ago . I mean , with my Razer Barracuda and with a little bit of editing , the track was ok-ish . Not the best quality , but acceptable .
Now , it's terrible .
When I start to record it's just a background noise . Computer fans and similiar .
When I get inside the game , the weird sound starts .
The funny thing is , the weird sound changes in every game .
My mic is plugged in the rear panel and my headphones in the front panel .
Changing them doesn't fix the problem . I also tryed to change the microphone and nothing .
My Razer Chimera does the same thing . Same with a Logitech Desktop microphone . I tryed to record with Audacity , Cubase and TeamSpeak 3 . Same thing .
This suggests , it's not the microphone or the software I'm using , but my sound card .
Now , in 2 weeks I'm getting a new USB microphone . The problem is , I don't know if this will fix my problem .
Should I get a new Sound Card aswell ?
This is a sample of the recording .

As you can hear , after 5 seconds I get inside the game where the weird sound starts .
But even the normal background noise is worse than it used to be .

Oh , my Razer Barracuda is plugged in with a 3.5mm jack . I lost the USB connector .
Same with the Chimera .
