Sony Vegas vs Adobe Premiere

Okay so i have been using sony vegas to edit my videos. Its working good but i recently purchased adobe premiere also because i heard its so much better. I still am favoriting sony because its well its alot simplier to use. If i take the time to learn adobe will it be worth it in the end?

I think it will be. I feel like I am in a similar position as you. Im switching from imovie to final cut pro x and I am hoping that the learning curve is not to great.

I'm sure it'd have its pros and cons. I've always used Sony Vegas so I wouldn't know.

Premiere Pro is the best editing software currently on the market (Other than Avid, but that's not for us YouTubers)

I have only used Premiere Pro, but I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't use anything besides that.

Premiere is the best by far, but Vegas is more than enough for most people.

VEGAS
Pros: Very fast and quick editing, has a decent amount of stuff to get the job done.
Cons: Needs more effects/ the ones added are a little cheesy and difficult to use for a beginner. I could never figure out the visual effects and IMO it didn't look very nice.
Premiere
Pros:
So many different things to learn,
Comes with a lot of great quality basic stuff which over time is great to learn.
Cheap at 20$ a month along with other Adobe apps(if you are a student).
Encoding and rendering is made super easy to use.
Cons:
Can be slow once you put a lot of edits/effects in it.
If you want to get editing done quickly, text edits in premiere are a little funkier to work with compared to Vegas.
