Sony Vegas Pro 11 crashes when I click on "Render as..."

So I know a lot of people have had problems of rendering because it either crashes in the middle of rendering or just freezes. However when I just click Render as... it just freezes and say it crashed. Why can't I even get a render screen to pop up? As soon as I just press "Render as.." it freezes for about 5 seconds then another window would come up saying it crashed. Sony Vegas Pro doesn't lag for me matter of fact everything works fine just the rendering part is a huge hassle. This is the only thing that is holding me up. I can't upload it to YouTube until I rendered it and from what I see, it's not possible. Any solutions?

Uninstall and re install Vegas and make sure to delete any left over registry files after uninstalling, that worked for me.

Yes it was cracked and my pc can handle it.

might be because its cracked... i doubt sony will give out faulty CDs

This is a relatively common problem, affects MS users also, still happening with the latest VP12 update and no-one has a solution. The workaround is to open a short project with just a short clip (e.g. generated media) on the timeline, then open the "Render As" dialog, cancel, open the project you are working on and the "Render As" dialog shows. Keep reporting crashes to SCS, they really need to find out what's causing this.
