sony vegas crop settings?(needs help)

so i have a couple questions about cropping so im having a bit of trouble right now
a couple questions i have
how do i only choose width or height as a single one because they both change when i crop. also how do i adjust the crop more efficiently (it keeps skipping alot of width or height) for example

skipped by 200 width from one adjust(also they both adjusted)

its all adjustment... and takes practice.. its not that hard..... use the sides of the box to extend to where its not cut off....
