Something new..

CatsRants

I Love YTtalk
So basically all my recent video's are me chatting to the camera about certain things that annoy me, or doing lists of things I hate/love about something. But people seem to be getting bored of it, and I am too, I'm thinking of getting a new camera this weekend when I have been paid, and getting a decent editing program, do you think that will be enough to motivate me more? I just wanna be able to do more really, maybe have more than one of me, so I can add in little acting bits to explain what I mean, and have more effects and things, I'm just bored of literally just having me sitting talking to the camera lol! Do any other vloggers feel like this? I need to snap out of it! :(

New equipment/stuff always motivates me but only for the first few weeks, if your starting to get bored maybe try something new, or write down some ideas and mix it up abit? :]

I think it's very important. When I first started using imovie it was like "Dude I can make productions!!" When I outgrew imovie and got finalcut pro it was like "Omg the possibilities are endless!!" And to be honest, I've been getting a bit oversaturated with the way your videos are set up myself. There's only so many lists that can be made and "these things p**s me off about this season or this experience or this outing" After a while you have to start thinking of little ways to make your subs go "ohhhh havent seen this side of them without it being SO different that it's like "wtf I didn't subscribe to this" Even before you get editing software you could take us to someplace outside or do something "non ranty" just a "day in the life" or maybe discuss something a little deeper than things that annoy you or something.

Just like how a good TV series progresses as it keeps going, so should a good vlogging series :)

I checked a few of your videos out and I enjoyed them! Maybe make a video asking ur subs?

Thanks :)[DOUBLEPOST=1374690311,1374690227][/DOUBLEPOST]

hmmmm true it's just hard to come up with something new and not too different!

Well, new equipment will definitely motivate you. I also think that you need to think about how to improve your channel everyday. I do that everyday. I take like an hour to think about what I can do to improve my channel so my viewers will be even more satisfy when they visit my channel. Draw some ideas in your head, write it down. You'll be fine. Just keep up with the good work and stay positive. :D

It can be... just be open to any and all ideas you have and then think of ways to fit those ideas into the context of your channel. I'm not always great at this either. Alot of times I think "Next music video is gonna be creative, different, something I've never done" Then nothing comes to me and I'm just like "welp green screen dancing it is!" lol

You can talk to yourself without fancy editing software (I'm guessing you are wanting to clone and mask?) you can always just do multiple angles and cut between the two. It's probably easier to edit and film and time too.

Equipment gets me motivated, but I think the biggest challenge I had when I was vlog/sketch channel, was not having a camera man.
