So I'm looking at getting some new "soft" lighting and I'm looking at soft boxes, anyone know of a REALLY good, professional brand? I mean PROFESSIONAL! :P
 
You're going to end up paying a metric shitload if you want something "professional"
Many of the cheap ish softboxes sold on eBay and Amazon are actually really good and would be fine for you, give those sites a peruse ^^

Well, all of the reviews on them are not very good... The only "good" ones I can see are the CowBoyStudio ones :/
 
Don't go to ebay, go to amazon. And what's your budget? You can get very good deals for under 100.

Personally, the light cast from softboxes are a little bit more focused. An umbrellas lighting is much more prefered in my opinion, it feathers out and there's more of a balance. Only downfall is that you have little control of the light.
Go for Limo Studio or Cowboy Studio for sub 100. Over 100 - FBL Studio.
