Social Media Fan Pages for your Channel

So I have a channel-based Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr but none of them are getting that much traffic. My Facebook fan page is doing the worst with only 25 likes (most of them friends that I sent invites to), Twitter is doing a little better with 35 followers, and Tumblr is doing the best with 79 followers. I post regularly on each but get little to no response although I have a pretty decent YouTube subscriber count and pretty decent video engagement.

Anyone have any tips for social media sites based off your channel? Anyone actually have a good one?

Odd, you have far more subscribers than I on Youtube but I'm closing in on 100 followers on Twitter. Do you socialize much with other content creators?

Well most of the big youtubers say you get about 5-10% of your subcriber number for the social sites :/ so yours is about accurate :D

I have a Facebook Page where I post my videos, it has 100 likes which is only 3 less than the number of subscribers I have lol

My tip is don't be shy when inviting people to like your page, I invited EVERYONE from my friends list to like the page, I don't care if they think it is dumb

I got more twitter followers then youtube subs, people seem to be more willing to follow some1 on twitter then on youtube. But the truth of it is that i can have twitter with me everywhere and i can engage in convs and stuff so people will see me.

Just be active is what im trying to say, jesus my brain is taking a nap.

Always understand that every platform is different - in protocols, usages and community. What works on YouTube doesn't on Twitter. What works on Tumblr doesn't on Facebook. In the same way that you can't just go on "auto pilot" mode when starting a YouTube channel, it applies to all social platforms.

Before haphazardly starting a Facebook page for your channel, ask yourself "why?" Don't be allured just because others are doing so. Think about your niche, audience, target demographic and focus on the platforms where the community already is predominately attracted to. Go to them.

Then when you get there, apply the same exact concepts you would on YouTube - create content (which could just be a tweet), follow others, read, comment, reply, share, etc. Treat it as seriously as you would your channel. Don't consider it just an outlet to push out links to your new videos, do all self-promotional crap and barely even look at it otherwise. Actually give a s**t.

There's really no "tricks" to any of this stuff. Do the work and you'll be rewarded. I think a meritocracy is the best you can ask for though, right?
