I've Got It
I'm pretty giddy with joy at the moment because today I'm finally getting an external hard drive for my computer (To store my uploaded Videos and Pictures for my "in the making" photography business. I realized this really fast that for me my camera of course shows better in 1080p (T3i) however if a video is 10 minutes long uncut then its going to take up a lot of space. After you are done with your videos do you delete them or do you back them up or cloud store them? and if you do use a hard drive how big is it and how far will it take you (before it fills up?)

i usually don't keep raw footage, but i always keep a copy or two of the finished video compressed away somewhere in case of emergency. best of luck with the business venture!

I have a 3TB HDD that I store all my videos on. I delete all raw footage after I've rendered them. But I keep the finnished product. Why? Well.. Just in case.

Yeah, I wanted to do a lot more projects and what not until I realized that my mac was dipping into the under 100 gigs area. (Which I personally hate and usually will keep a solid 150 just to keep it running fast) So hopefully I'll have more videos and no worries with making videos.

Yeah man external is the way to go aparantly. Need to do a deleting spree on mine. It's starting to slow now haha.
Congrats on everything tho and good luck with the business :)

Got a 2TB hard drive where I can store the finished product.

The rest will go. I can't have it clogging up everything. My editor spews things everywhere!
