So I might try an LP... Help?

I'm very paranoid of copyright hits, like anyone else I'm sure. I might be trying an LP just for fun in the future. How do you do an LP without getting copyright hits? How do you know if problems are going to arise? Anyone who does LP's and have been doing them for a while, got a second? I'm thinking of doing sonic the hedgehog.

some game companies let you use their games as long as you give them credit and do a commentary but really the only safe way to do a LP is with youtube partnership through a network.

There are some companies that let you go LP's but in general its something your not supposed to do...however everyone does it. But yea as PP said, the only safe way is if your partnered...but to get partnered you have to have content...and if your a gaming channel you have to break copyright to get partnered, kind of a revolving door

The only company that takes that seriously is Rockstar. So don't play their games or get their EULA
EA and Treyarch/Activision also take this seriously.

Tips:
  • Edit out any cutscenes you may encounter.
  • Use lots of commentary
  • I strongly recommend you do not do Sonic the Hedgehog, I heard SEGA went crazy and are targeting their content.

honestly, copyright hits are not such big of a deal. idk if you are gonna generate income with it, but if you do you have to give credit to the owners of the copyright in any case. also if you are a partner of just youtube (no network) you have to give them credits. if you are part of a network it will probaly be covered. the network just sends a part of your income to the owners of the copyright (so ive heared), keep some for them selfes and then the leftovers go to you.

Not a big deal if you plan on making nothing on YouTube.

well if you are just the small youtuber that doesnt make money from it it isnt, and the guy isnt partnered so for him it isnt needed to be so worried about it.
