If you don't have an established audience, I don't think it matters. When your just starting out, really focus on quality; that's what is going to grow your channel.
Once you have an audience, quantity and cadence is more important.
2 weeks is fine if you don't have a massive following and if you do a simple tweet or message somewhere that the next video may take longer is all you need to sedate them. Just make sure that you are doing quality in those 2 weeks because it may be a let down to your fans if they had to wait too long and the quality is poor.
Dont worry about a time frame when making quality videos like you do. I follow a few fitness guys that dont put out a video for a month or so, but their channels are always growing, and im always watching.
