So as you all know, collaboration is one of the best ways to grow your channel. To get willing participants, you usually have to stick to those around your subscriber level. I've always been curious to see what would happen in a good collaboration between a small channel and a much larger one.

Last month, we filmed a collaboration with a smaller channel. The video debuted 5 hours ago. So far, the other channel has picked up 600 new subscribers, going from 2100 to over 2700. In the first 24 hours, I'd expect it to settle somewhere around 1000-1400. I'll update the numbers when they come in tomorrow evening.

UPDATE: After 24 hours, the other channel has picked up a total of 1303 new subscribers.

Nice of you to help out a smaller channel. :)
Looking forward to the update.

Wow, that's a large growth. Yeah, it's very nice of you helping that small channel out. Good for you man. :D

Am I the only one that doesn't consider 2100 subs a "small" channel? lol Let me be a "small" channel.

Lol, his main channel have over 120k, so I guess 2.1k is nothing really. BUT I do consider 2.1k is big channel for me. xD

We have over 140k subs. Anything under 10k is small.

About a month ago, we released a short video featuring another small channel with 170 subs (he had about 120 when we filmed it). Our fans liked him, so I invited him to film with us on a regular basis. He's at 550 subs now.

In both cases, they weren't free rides or charity. Normally when we do collaborations, the other channel gets scared and doesn't want to try anything gross. So we have to get them to review a normal food item and our fans end up hating them. In these two cases, they both did exactly what we asked them to without complaining-both knew it was going to be an awful experience filming with us, but in exchange for a few hours of misery, they would win over our fans and gain a decent amount of subscribers.

Gross food in exchange for a butt load of subs is obviously completely worth it. Unless eating bloody tampons. No.
