Should I wait to make an intro?

Watchoo lookin' at trick
So I was thinking about making a cool intro to have something consistent in my videos, but I realized a few things I meet need to consider. Most people don't have that high of an attention span when watching random videos online, so even wasting a couple seconds at the beginning could turn them off. Is it better to just focus on the content of the video right now? Or does it not make a difference? There's also the flip side that having an intro makes the video seem a little more professional I guess. Any suggestions?

Yes and no. Sometimes intros work, sometimes they don't. What's best is to put a clip infront of the intro that way the viewers now what the video is about, and they most likely will stick around through the intro. Make the intro short and sweet. I suggest 8 seconds or less.

People will see the intro and think of you anytime they see it or hear the song. It's something they can remember you by. I always get compliments on my intro haha

Intros can work, but also mess up.. Pewdiepie, and RWJ dont have intros on there main videos.. though smosh does ( just as examples ) do you really need one? can you make one that doesnt look like its copied fromt he web? if yes then maybe do one, as it shows your artistic skills :)

I do like the idea about having a short clip before the actual intro before the viewers get distracted. If anything I guess I'll go with that.
