Should I Pay For Promotions?

I seen where you can promote your video while i was doing the upload process today and I clicked on it to see what it was. I was curious if anyone has payed for this and if it worked. I upload on a consistent schedule and I always stay a week ahead and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. YouTube is a passion of mine and I don't intend to let it slip away. Please let me know what you think and if my channel is ready to be promoted through payment. Thank You!

I have heard mixed reports about it, if you target it well then you can boost your views for that specific video however I have not really heard anyone get results in terms of people sticking around besides that video.

If you are very serious about YouTube, I would recommend paying for promotions (legit and not spammy, of course) You should use AdWords, because that way, you only pay if the ad works. Adwords is legit and run by google.

Have you used it and seen results from it? More curious than anything.

Personally, no. Everything I have done thus far has been free. I don't really feel like I need to spend much money at this point (except maybe a green screen) as I only make rants. Maybe in the future, though.

Also, the good thing about Adwords is that you set a daily budget and only pay for the ad watch time.

What are the free promotion options you have used thus far? Also what worked and what didn't?

Promote your videos in places that are relevant to what your videos are about, in which people on those particular places would want to watch.

Ex: Reddit, forums, social media groups, basically wherever it is appropriate for you to post your videos.

Don't be spammy, give a hint of what kind of value your content / video has to offer in advance.

I self-promote (properly) quite a lot, and it helps me getting more views that I normally wouldn't.

A few people on a private Facebook group have actually tried this method of "Pay4Promo" on Facebook, of the 3 who tried it only 1 person saw any increase/boost in views and traffic and when mean an increase I mean his views went about by like 4 which isn't exactly great considering your paying good money to promote your stuff.

Lesson learned stay away from paid promotion, nothing can beat the grind, because as always, the grind is REAL

Ever heard of the expression: You can polish a turd but it's still a turd?

Sorry bud, but you (and I, even at 2K subscribers) are turds. And no level of advertising is going to change that. Let them come organically, don't spend a single dime. If you are wanted, the subscribers will come.
