Should I Merge My Channels?

I've Got It
Hi everyone, I was thinking of merging my lets play channel and vlog channel into 1. I know I'm not a big channel at all but I do think that I can get more people to watch my channel than that they are both seperate. Any help is welcome!
 
Although having two is a good idea as the videos fall under separate categories, I found being a relatively new youtuber that handling two channels can be tough and as you pointed out to rally support (i.e. subscribers) on both is a hard task where as focusing your energy and efforts into one is more likely to result in success. Perhaps you should just focus on one channel as you suggested but don't delete the other channel should you wish to open it again once you increase your following.
 
I wasn't planning on deleting it, and you said the exact reason why. And even though subs are nice to have I want people to like my stuff and maybe 1 channel can get more peoples attention that way. but thanks for the comment.

I think it depends on how different the two channels are. Like for instance we have a vlog channel. If I were to do gameplay I know that 50 percent of our audience would not like it. So our games would get half the views.

However if we started gaming we might grow gaming fans that wouldn't like our vlogs. Our statistics would be hectic and videos would vary.
What I find is it is best to run one channel and put all your time and energy into that one channel. However if you must do both, and you feel your audience would be torn then you might want to consider separating them.
