Should I get a Elgato?

I am currently recording exclusively using the built in PS4 recording system and was wondering if a elgato would be a upgrade from this recording style. I was also wondering if an elgato can record PC and mobile gaming as I have been wanting to expand my content to these platforms.

You can do mobile and console with elgato, but as for PC gameplay I would recommend OBS. It's a really good recording software.

Thank you guys! I already have OBS on PC and finally getting the chance to record mobile content has expanded the amount of video ideas I have.

I've had an Elgato for about 3 years I believe, and I never regretted the purchase. It was SOOOOO much better than Hauppauge...that piece of s-h-i-t gave me so much trouble.

Please save money for it; just make sure you tweak the settings to that the audio doesn't come out of sync with the gameplay footage. And also make sure your hard drive can write fast enough...you definitely don't wanna be recording on a slow hard drive.

For gaming i believe it is the prime game recorder. and the hdpvr, but i think elgato is better bcuz of wire management
