I'd say take a chance once you've done some research into it and if everything seems to be legit then go for it, but if it seems too suspect or scammy don't do it as it could cause problems out of nowhere.
Should I do this or is this a scam?

I can confirm it is just spam mail for promotion. I look into the site and anyone can post anything, Same old third party tracking plugins websites use for selling your information. It does not seem interested in doing work but rather others do it for free. Lastly, it has one of the most sloppy TOS i have ever seen, i don't even know if this is legal: fashionpotluck.com/terms-and-conditions

Yeah, that is my problem with sites like this. It's like they have this idea for a website, invest loads of money into it, set up a company, employ a load of staff and then don't budget anything for paying people to create the content.
I've just browsed the site and it's full of really badly written articles mostly copy-pasted from wikipedia and full of links to 3rd party commercial websites. In other words, people are signing up to spam their own websites lol.
