I see no reason why google should save people from their own stupidity. If someone wants to kill their channel by placing too many ads on their videos, they should be free to do it.
It's actually mostly to do with YouTube's poor fill rate not adblock, adblock usage is actually a very small percentage, certainly no more than 10% on any channel I've ever seen.[DOUBLEPOST=1394342527,1394342425][/DOUBLEPOST]Found it here: https://twitter.com/InTheLittleWood/status/439734616996728832 "1.5mil views were monetized properly our of 4-5 million views."
Agreed, I think there is some limits in place but if someone wants to lose all views and destroy their watch time by placing mid-rolls everywhere then let themI see no reason why google should save people from their own stupidity. As long as it doesn't effect people who just have it installed. I know of sometimes that wouldn't allow me to even use them just because I had adBlock installed, turning it off didn't allow me to use the site either. Peronsally what I think should be done is the companies who do ads should just give creators actual videos to put in their videos. I'm pretty sure it's probably already being done but it's like watching TV, there will be ad breaks. But YouTube would need a rule in place that you could only do 1 ad per video for that type of thing because obviously people could fill the video with ads since viewers would have to watch it anyways.Google can always create a similar or better system than Hulu's system. Hulu has an anti-ad-blocker system. If you're using an ad-blocker then you must wait longer to watch the video.
I seen it on stuff like an incredibly long video.Never heard about that happening. No more than 2-3, but thats rare to see that. Ad limit sounds good though. Like a balence including pre roll. Like if you have preroll than minus 1 in video.

It's not about them killing their own channel though- they're killing all of our channels.
