Self-sustained channel

Is there a subscriber limit where your yt channel is self sustainable? I like to think there is some limit after which things tend to go rather smoothly and upward by itself?

My gues that limit is something like sound barrier... It lies down near 10 000 subscribers...

What is your opinion on this?

Honestly There isn't a number for being self-sustaining my friends have like 300 subscribers and are self sustaining and growing. Don't get to caught up with self sustaining. if you really want to be self sustaining be consistent and interact and use twitter/instagram/any other social media!

Mine has gone extremely smoothly with views increasing everyday. I am still extremely small but I don't have to advertise my channel to get new comments, likes and subscribers. I am gaining between 50 - 100 video views a day, with almost 100 minutes of watch time, in the past week. I can't explain why my videos are suddenly doing amazing, as before a week or two ago I was hardly getting views. Really it depends what you are happy with.

I am happy with my 19 subscribers and about 40+ video views on each video with about 4/5 likes each video and people discussing in the comments. In the end like I said, depends on what you are happy with.

If by "self-sustaining" you mean when you're able to post a video and visually watch it grow with much promotion, I don't think it takes that long. My guess is around 1000 subs

No, I don't think there is a self sustain on it. That would mean if I reach 10K subs and never record again or push out like 1 video every 3 weeks I can self sustain? No, just no. Its not about the numbers on the screen why does everyone keep coming back to numbers its got nothing to do with it its all about the person. If you do not personally yourself upload then your channel will fail, if you feel your "good" and feel like it will "grow by itself" your very very very wrong

Thanks for that!

That's great news! :D

I don't think literaly self sustainability but rather a point where things go easier for channel aka gaining viewer/subscriber count while maintaining same pace...

My opinion is 100 subs. Once you hit 100 subs that actually watch your video you will be self sustaining. Of course if you bought your subs, subbed with your own accounts, or did sub4sub this probably isn't case. There was some article (if anyone knows the of article let me know) about how once you hit 100 subs it is much easier to grow from there. I think it gives you credibility, from they the fact that 100 people actually liked your videos. This probably won't mean you will get a million subs or anything, but you might gain a sub a week but you will be gaining subs and you won't have to do anything besides upload content.

Well, most people would say that self sustaining is around 10k to 50k subs. Most people break down channel size kinda like this

0-1000 subs = small channel
1000-10000 subs = Medium Channel
10k-50k subs = Large Channel
50k Plus = OMFG U so Famous, Please promote me, I'm so jelly

I don't think you need 50k subs to make things easier, because at 50k you've already succeded. I was thinking more of spot before u get famous or make actual money, more like turning point for channel. You know what I mean?

I make 12p every two days, if that counts...
