Screw Maker Studios/RPM Network

nah machi ****** abunch of partners bad with never ending contracts now they are just trying to bring in any numbers that will trust
Hmm… interesting… -_-
The term section says 3 years. Ouch. I probably should have looked it over a bit more before I submitted it. I assumed it was a year like every other network. But even so, it's not necessarily a bad network, is it?

I just got eager. I'm a little nervous right now, honestly lol
Well… as long as you're happy with the pay out and the network itself, you should be ok!

Last week, I went on a trip 200 miles south of me, to Austin, TX since I had some time to kill. While I was there, I ran into some unexpected expenses, and ended up spending nearly triple what I expected to pay. While I was there, I got an early termination e-mail from RPMNetwork. The e-mail stated I had, "a high volume of copyrighted content" on my channel. When I confronted them about it, and asked them to show me which videos they were referring to, they avoided the question whenever they responded, until they stopped responding all together. They have funds that should be paid out to me, but they are not responding on that matter either. That was a bummer.

Recently, I applied to be a part of Machinima, and I surprisingly got in. I don't think I met the minimum requirements, so I don't know how I got in exactly. The process went smoothly, and their support is so clean. I'm still waiting on my channel to be moved into their network. I got an opportunity to talk to some of my favorite YouTubers on their network one-on-one though, so it was a nice experience, and I got some free things out of it. Overall, I'm very happy to be out of my contract with RPM Network. They had terrible support, and their forums weren't very lively at all.

You forget: Machinima hold licences for certain copyrighted material that RPM do not (so whilst your channel isn't copyright strike worthy, RPM probably don't want to risk it).

Also just a quickie FYI -- Machinima only require 75 views per day to get in and an active channel (and if you're gathering less than this you likely haven't hit the threshold for RPM to pay you out, which is $100).

lol what? as a gamer literally ALL your content is third party to begin with, i will just leave it at that.
Third party does not mean you can't post it. If the publisher allows you to monetise Let's Plays, that's that, you can upload them.

Source?

As far as I know, no they don't :p[DOUBLEPOST=1381754311,1381754230][/DOUBLEPOST]

What's the revshare? you really should have negotiated down to 1 year or shorter, Machinima are known for being all nice while you're joining, but shady and hard to get a hold of afterwards..

I was with RPM, so I know they don't hold any licences. Machinima do. Google it. Microsoft (for one) granted them such in 2007.

Machinima don't hold any such licenses, Flammy stated this beforehand when he was approached by them.

To the OP, ignore Machinima, they are awful and many of their partners have left in recent years and they could be gone within the next year.

machinima is the worst possible partnership, they tried to screw over mojang LMFAO, they claimed and i quote "We made your game famous, so you owe us a cut of the profits" its amazing.

Do Machinima require you to put any intros before your videos or anything like that? Been interested in them but I'm trying to find a network that doesn't force you to do things like putting videos up daily or putting intros in or hitting view targets. Which I'm pretty sure I'm asking for the impossible xD

I've looked up a few things about different partnerships and I found 1 video that gave info about a lot of popular networks on YouTube. The one that I liked....yet I can't get into yet is TGN. I liked it because, like you wanted, they don't ask for daily videos of intros....however, to join them, you need a minimum of 1k subscribers. Which unlike some networks nowadays...is a bigger requirement.

Although, some people find that great. There are a lot of networks where it's super easy to get in.... however their contracts and conditions and stuff are not that good. People say that that's because a lot of networks only care about the amount of money they make and the amount of people that join....the numbers basically. But the networks that have a higher requirement, suggests that they're looking for people with good content, who know what they're doing and have a great chance of becoming more popular in the future. Of course....we don't know everything. They only tell you what you want to hear....but that's not all they offer...I'm sure.
