:greyalien2:So im looking into getting new lighting and I'm wondering which of these two would better?
The smaller lights seem cheaper and more common but I'm wondering would it take thew place where I plan on mounting a microphone? :/
Also which would be generally better for videos if you know? :)

It looks too me like the top one connects to the Tripod screw hole and then you can attach the tripod to the light instead, it also looks a lot better as the second one seems like a bit of a dodgy setup not even having a removable power cable seems like a hassle.

You get what you pay for with filming equipment so get the better one. But neither of them seem to connect to the microphone port, or any port on the camera for that matter. I think they'll both use AC power.

The large one gets power from a plug, the smaller has a battery pack and also plugs into the camera
(Those arepnt the exact ones I'm looking at just Google images first few :D)

Ahh okay, I would personally go with the bigger one, unless you need to be a little more portable. But if you're setting up a ring light I doubt you'll be in a place where you can't set up the camera properly.
