Review?

The one that wears the cardigans
Hi I was wondering if anybody would want to give me a detailed review of my channel and videos and tell me how you think I could improve.

Thank you

I had a look at your channel, and here is my opinion for you, mate. Keep in mind, something I say might be more of subjective nature, I will point that out, and also I had some to drink so, if this gets confusing on what I say, it is also confusing in my head.

The look of the channel, mainly the banner is nice, really nice stylize and ma good way to point out what you are doing, gives a nice sense of direction. The only issue for me personally is the text : ) it looks all over the place, because you have so much going on in the background and then you have the stylized font used on the text, it ends up maybe a little bit confusing.
It is hard to focus on the text, in the way it is, because of a such active background. If I were you, I maybe change the font to a little bit larger and bulkier format, so it standout more, and maybe dim the background image a little bit, and make the text lighter, that way you will still have the awesome background, while making the text stand out more.

The avatar is great, nothing to say here.
Not here is where the subjective opinion comes in, I am a freak when it comes to organizing stuff nicely. That means playlist and so on. This is to each your own, but I would maybe try to find a way to organize videos in a playlist, just so it looks cleaner and gives that nice impression.

To the video itself, I checked out two of your videos: For Baltimore cover... and 365 Scotty Gunning.
You play good so there is no point of me touching that, you know your stuff. However the mixing is the problem, I think.
In the "For Blatimore...." video, the bass for me at least, stood out too much from the main song, so it was played right, but because of the audio levels and channel panning it ended up feeling on top of the song, rather than in it.....does that make sense? IT DOES NOW! The 365 Scotty Gunning is balanced and leveled better, and the bass there feels more natural and in the sense, I assume because it is your original, so it is easier to balance everything.

I would look up if I were you, if you are playing over a backing track, on backing track mixing and all that fun stuff. :)

Rather than everything is solid : ) I hope this is what you were interested in hearing.

@Little Recordings can I get a review of my channel?
First of all, I just checked out the song in our signature and wow. I know that it is you and a friend singing, and I do not know who is playing the guitar, but holy crap was it amazing and beautiful. It really put a smile on my face, hearing such talented people.

Besides that, you descriptions are solid, you art is solid, everything looks like you know what you are focusing on, and I think that is an important thing, since I can understand what your channel is just by a second of lucking on it.

If I had to say something is this. The avatar (the square picture on the left top side of the banner) I would change it maybe to a logo or some sort of "brand style". The reason why, is because youtube sometimes throws random channels for random people to check out, and the only thing you see is that avatar the name of the channel.

Having a picture is good, do not get me wrong, but I believe that if you would have something like a logo or a signature it would stand out more. Think of it as, making a person understand what you are about just by looking at that little square.

Besides that, everything is fantastic, and you are an amazing singer.

One note though, keep in mind, this comes from a person with a really small subs base and does not have years of experience, I am simply stating my opinion as a long time viewer of youtube, so take it with a grain of salt, since I might not have a big enough knowledge in this area.

This is simply my opinion and I hope it helps : )

And both of you, @Stef and @Scotty_Gunning , keep up what you are doing, you both are amazing and really talented. : )

Thanks, I really appreciate it :) I haven't been too involved with YouTube as of yet with all of the changes, but I'm planning on getting into it again very soon and that was very nice to hear.
