Review our new YTtalkTV Outro

Michael

I Love YTtalk
Hey everyone, I would like everyone's feedback and would like to know what you think of a new outro I just made for all future YTtalkTV videos. I would have went all the way out there with thumbnails of previous videos and such but I find it takes way too long resizing and such so I have come up with this.

I know the music isnt musically perfect but its the best of my ability lol I am in no way a musician or composer so its probably all over the place to someone who knows their music well.

I wanted to make something fully original for the outro and here it is!

If you have any suggestions at all then let me know and feel free to critique it.

A few things I did consider but didn't include are:

Showing current presenters scrolling across the side, thumbnails (too much work each time for me at present), icons next to the social stuff and YTtalk URL.

Just so you all know this video is unlisted so its best not to bother leaving a comment etc

Thanks for your time :)

It looks great, the music is a bit somber though :D The big green arrow sort of of disturbs the 'clean' look of the rest of the design. If you want to put pictures of the presenters I would suggest using their channel avatars instead of thumbnails.

Thank you, yeah I get what you mean about the music, listening to it again after reading your post its kinda depressing, something you'd hear on a sad documentary maybe, I would go for all techno sort of stuff but I am afraid I would make it more suitable for a gaming channel :D I might consider just having me say something at the end, maybe reading out what it says and adding visit YTtalk.com, I aint sure yet but its something I can consider just to avoid any music troubles.

I really want to keep my beloved green arrow but what I think I should do is maybe leave it on and without it flashing, it kinda makes it appear a bit tacky.

I think it might end up looking a little cramped with anything else added as it is so I will likely leave those out.

Thanks for the review :)

As I can't view embedded videos from YouTube (for some unknown reason) could you please post an unlinked URL to the video too? (I say unlinked because otherwise it embeds it automatically anyway.) :P

Hey Michael, music sounds ok kind of a relaxing background sound. I agree with what Stef posted above, my first impression is that the green arrow sticks out a bit. I think a cleaner more formal arrow in the same white style as the yttalk graphic on the bottom would be better. Nice work though:up:

Thanks William, I will see how it looks in white, that is a good idea. I will post it up again after a few changes so you can all see if its any better, luckily the files are small to upload :D

What I was considering is removing the drum from it completely so its just the synth, do you think that would work better?

Thanks guys!

Yeah that may work better actually, the drum does sound a bit metallic and clangy.

I really liked it, I don't see a major problem with the music either it sounds nice. One improvement would be fixing that green arrow. :P

Maybe reduce the opacity of it slightly or stop it flashing, one or the other will balance the viewer's engagement I'm sure.

Thank you guys, I have done two new ones with the white arrow and one without the drumming. Let me know which one has your vote :)
