Request Requesting Adobe after effects cs6 support

So, I am trying my absolute hardest to keep my dependencies on other people to a minimum, that is to say, if I want an intro and/or a banner I make it myself...

but recently I've found that my creative talents lie in things other than visual effects, I was hoping I could request one of you more experienced adobe after effectsers to teach me the program, because youtube really only helps if I know what to look for, looking up "HOW TO MAKE A GOOD INTRO" on youtube really just ends up with a lot of spammy links and generic looking work that just doesn't measure up to what I envision for my channel. The last thing I want to do is pay for something everyone else is using plus I need to work on this skill myself anyway, it'll get me farther than making someone else do it. Plus the program cost a lot so I want to learn to use it myself.

Anyway I understand that requesting this is kind of a lot especially since I'm basically requesting a hands on ground-up kinda tutory and I don't have a lot to offer. I am not asking for a lot of attention, maybe just someone I can consult if I get stuck and give me a good basis to start with. Anyway if you're willing to teach I'd love to learn, toss me a PM

Also if you have experience in GIMP a little help there would be great too but I actually do have a decent basis in that so that one is secondary to after effects

First off, I recommend you cracking Adobe After Affects CS6.
Second, I recommend you searching "Creating YouTube Introductions in Adobe After Affects CS6 for beginners" and/or "How to start using Adobe After Affects CS6." When you first start, I wouldn't make an intro for your YouTube, I would just make a random intro. Keep on practicing until you are good enough to make an excellent intro, then use it as a YouTube intro. Once you watch a few of these videos, start searching videos as you go. For example, you wanted to know how to make your text fall down on the screen, you would search YouTube on how to do that. Now you want fireworks in your intro, search YouTube on that.
