Religion. Need help.

Hi!
I have been thinking about making a video that's about religion. But I'm an Atheist and afraid that I'll get too many dislikes on it from people finding it offensive.
Should I make the video or not?

As long as you don't act like an as*hole you should go fine, the biggest thing to fear are fundamentalists, both religious and atheist. But they do not find anything that is good for them in any case, so just don't mind about them, and in case the comment section becomes a flamewar, just disable comments.

There are loads of atheists on Youtube, don't let your faith stop you from being a content creator. Just don't mention it if you don't need to to avoid any conflicts.

Edit: oops read your post wrong, yeah go ahead anyways. I've actually seen atheists do videos about their religion. Youtube is all about expressing yourself for everyone to see, so as long as you do that and you have fun doing it you don't need to worry about any negative comments, unless they have a valid reason that is :).

I agree with this. As long as you aren't mean or anything, it shouldn't lead to any serious backlash. Though you honestly should expect some heat on you. It's such a sensitive topic, somebody is bound to get mad about what you say, regardless of how you go about it.

In that case then yes, i can see it getting a lot of dislikes. If you "just felt" like making a video about religion then chances are it will bomb. If you start walking into that minefield just be aware that you wont come out with legs.
For it to received well, it better have some relevance.

I am an atheist too. I am however engaged to a woman from a very devout catholic family.
Such relationships can exist happily because one doesn't go around just spreading their thoughts on the subject.

As long as it's an internal thing and they [religious groups in general] don't start trying to convert me or confront me about MY views, then i don't have a problem with it.
 
It's sad people are so easily offended that a person can't respectfully post their opinion on something. I'm Christian and I love talking to atheists about what we disagree on. But it's all done out of respect. It's a thought exchange.

Post it. Just post it respectfully. But get your thoughts together first.
