I'm fairly new to Reddit as well. I know you have to choose a "subreddit" to go under. I usually post under "funny" or "parody" on there, but haven't had any luck. I'm told Reddit-ers dislike self-promotion. Meh.

Reddit has their own "upvote/downvote" system, so my videos all got downvotes when they were posted in popular channels like "funny", and I don't think my vids are THAT bad really, ha ha... When I post them in a deadzone like "parody" they get nothing... cause no one looks in there. I was fortunate not to get any YouTube "thumbs down" votes via Reddit... they seemed to only want to kick my butt ON Reddit... ah well...

ok so as I see you can only post one subreddit.
and yeah I know what you are talking about I posted them on this page called friki.net and ppl hated my videos xD. But yeah the good thing of that page is that ppl have to go to youtube in order to dislike u and so on. They've got genres for most anything. Trouble is, most anything just off the mainstream... hardly anyone goes to. I think they have a place where you can see their most popular subreddits. Right, you can supposedly only post each of your videos ONE time in ONE subreddit... but I got around this by using my youtube.com link in one place, and my youtu.be link in another. So you can get two subreddits. But once it's submitted, it's like you can never resubmit, never refresh, anything. It just goes off... into the wasteland. Heh.
You get quite a lot of views though in Reddit (that's my Analytics tell me anyway). And I think most of them are too lazy to go on YouTube and dislike the video themselves, so they just downvote it. So, everyone now and then, maybe it's good to submit?

Yeah, it's not a bad thing. I usually got 2-3 instant views as soon as I posted a parody song in "funny". That's about as far as I've tracked. And that's true... it does seem the folks are too lazy to come through to YT and give you a thumbs down. So you just get downvotes on Reddit. Big deal.
