How do you guys like reddit for generating views? Is it a tight knit community where people know eachother or is it a bunch of randoms?

It depends what subreddit you post in but I would be very careful posting on reddit because they can be very negative and it could just end bringing a lot of trolls and dislikes to your videos..
However, it can be good if you post at a good time and get lucky. Its a lot about luck when it comes to reddit.

I tried once but luckily they would not let me since I just made an account.

I'm way to nervous on posting on that site :P

awww thanks guys. Sorry you are getting so much hate from that site!! Btw what is the worst a troll can do? i am being honest here... i dont know.

Spam comments because afterwards you have to delete those comments. They can also dislike your videos or if they are big trolls they might report your videos.

From what I've found with Reddit, the only subreddits where it's not against the rules to self-promote are the ones that are just used for dumping links and running away. You'll probably get a few views but not many, and like others have said there is a risk of getting trolls on your videos.

I think it's more so about getting really targeted videos. I promote primarily on reddit and get a ton of views. I have a video that has 7500, another with 3000 views. A big part of that is because of Reddit. So I think it really depends on your content and where you post it. I've been banned from quite a few subreddits that I have no idea why I was banned as it followed their rules.

If you want a ton of hollow views fast, reddit is your place. It's not great for audience retention. I wouldn't recommend.
