I've Got It
so when I first discovered reddit I spent the first few days kind of jumping around the different subreddits checking the site out and I also read tons of guides and such and how to and how not to post stuff to reddit so I felt Like I had atleast some idea what I was doing....The first about 3 videos I posted ,I posted to their respective subreddits as well as any other subreddit I could find that pertained to the subject ..so for example world of warcraft video in subreddits wow,wow lore, mmo,pc gaming ect. For my first few videos I posted This actually kinda worked as I got way more views then I usually get...granted were talking the difference between 10 and 300 views in a day but at this point thats huge for me lol. Then it stopped.....like turning off a switch...I have only posted about another 5 videos or so to reddit but Im assuming they are all buried out of the gate...because I havent got view 1 from reddit or its various subreddits...I think its important to note that neither the ones I got a quick burst of traffic on and or the ones that didnt get any traffic had any up or down voting on them so I dont see how that could be a factor....all this said ...even after reading several guides Im not feeling like anything I apply to reddit is working out for me traffic wise in the end.....please help! I feel like reddit is just too big a source of traffic to ignore because I dont yet understand its finer details lol.
 
Posted a video to reddit on Tuesday, it got 14,000 views from there.
Caused alot of shares/likes on Facebook and posts on other websites plus got into two newspapers.

Video now has 120,000 views and still getting 5,000 an hour.

So when it works, it really works :p
But there does not seem to be any strategy to getting it to work, next video put on there today just got like instantly forgotten :(

You might have been shadowbanned. Reddit has thing where only 10% of your post can be your promoted content and then they shadow ban you if you almost exclusively post things like that. Do you get upvotes, downvotes or comments on your reddit posts? It also could be that people look at you like someone who just self-promotes.

this sounds like whats going on cause its not like im getting less ....Im getting zero love
