Recording Mobile Apps...

I have a Galaxy Note 3 (T-Mobile Version) and a Galaxy S5 (T-Mobile version). I cannot root these, so any root apps are not possible. I can't due to some personal arrangements I have with Samsung.

Outside of rooting, how the HELL can I get footage off these things? I can't even find paid apps for it, just ones that require root. There's no HDMI-mini out, and I've yet to find a cable that has reliable reviews that would utilize the USB 3.0 or 2.0 port and somehow convert that to 1080p HD output.

All I need is to get the feed from my phone to an HDMI male connector that can be plugged into my monitor or Elgato and I'll take care of the rest. I just cant find anything that has good reviews so I know it will work every time, or that will retain the 1080p quality!

Well if they have KitKat, which they should by now I think. You can use ADB. More info here: /watch?v=ETzRxxOK_bs#t=168 Not sure if the quality of the usb matters, just use the factory one I guess, the qualities pretty good. No app needed, completely free.

Found a cable that makes things more versatile with using my recording programs :)

MHL adapter!

How do you do it when you have the adapter? I would be interested myself and know a lot of others who are unsure what to do when they cannot root nor take any other methods up like Bluestacks etc

1st I called best buy, so kudos to them.

MHL enabled devices (Google to see if yours is compatible) allow HDMI output through the devices micro USB port.

You hook the micro USB port to the phone. The other end has an HDMI male to the TV or monitor or capture device. Then there's an extra USB 2.0 standard male part that needs to be plugged into a wall socket or USB port on a TV/PC.

Amazon has them, but I don't think I can link to it right?

Sure go for it, the only thing we dont really allow would be referral links :D

Thanks for that, I might get myself one because there have been times I needed to do a recording but had to use other poor quality methods.
