Recording game footage and webcam

Separately? I need to be able move the camera as needed if it covers things, want to zoom in, etc. Currently using OBS to record the camera and Action for video capture when needed.

Not separate files :P but you can move it to top left, right, bottom left, right, and re size it.

How is that working for you? :D

Recording separately works pretty well, gives me 2 separate video files so I can place / move / adjust however I want in the editor.

I generally use FRAPS/Camtasia Recorder to record my other stuff (Games in my case) and use Youcam for my webcam recording, as well as a separate program for audio so I have a backup in case my cam gets all futzed up. Then I import all the files into Camtasia Studio, but most of the decent editing programs would work similarly.

What computer do you have?
Right now a broken one, getting motherboard replaced. Once it's back up and running my specs are:
CPU - i7 4960x Extreme 6-core
Ram - 24gb
Video - Tri Crossfire 7990 + 7970
Monitors - 3x 27" 2560x1440 + 1x 24"(?) 1920x1080

I use a Avermedia capture card to get my footage off the ps4, I use to have a stand alone camera on a tripod (i say use to, yesterday) i have a new logitech camera and found a good bit of software called Debut, which does the job nicely, still looking for that perfect software though.

Like yourself I have Action, but I prefer complete control in my edit and would prefer 2 separate files.
