Recording equipment

Hey guys I have just started youtube (set up my channel) and now all i need is recording equipment and a mic. My channel is going to be a gaming channel so I need a capture card and mic that removes most of the background noise. As I have just started I am on a low budget and wanna know what is the best gear possible to make high quality audio and video at a low cost. So no HD PVR or Elagto something which costs around £75 that still works and produces 1080i videos and a mic that sounds really good and doesn't pick up loads of background noise. If anyone got any tips or ideas can they let me know by commenting below.
Thanks

First off, what kind of computer do you plan to do your editing on? Mac OS or Windows?

Second, what is your budget for the mic?

Third, do you plan on doing any editing for your footage? You will probably need an editing program.

1. Windows
2. £30-£45
3. Have some already, one of my mates gave me some they have which is cyberlink PowerDirect

So you're giving us a 75quid budget but you want "really good audio" and 1080i...

Not really possible...
Plus you're going to need editing software as Lilikoi Juice said.[DOUBLEPOST=1374573296,1374573265][/DOUBLEPOST]

Is your microphone budget the same as your capture card budget?

Sorry to break it to you but 75 Pounds will not get you any game capture with the quality you're looking for... unless you search on eBay for a used one. You can get better prices on eBay, but you have to be careful when shopping there.

The cheapest one I can suggest to you--which is still a little over your budget--is the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...o+game+capture+hd+pro&sprefix=roxio+g,aps,555
The regular Roxio Game Capture only goes up to 480p--don't get that. I'll let you know that the Roxio and HD PVR/HD PVR 2 is not very user friendly. I would highly suggest you to spend the extra to get the Elgato (or the new Avermedia Game Capture HD but it's expensive!). I have an Elgato and I regret nothing.

The same goes for a mic... If you are really concerned with noise cancellation, you can't get away with budget of 30-45 Pounds. You should get a mic with adjusters, like gain volume. At the very least, you should get a Cardoid mic to prevent surrounding sound from getting picked up too much. I'd say get a Blue Snowball http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Microp...&qid=1374574615&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+snowball ... but that's over your budget as well...

How strong is your computer? I read some reviews on your editing program (Cyberlink Power Direct); it is known to take a lot of juice to run. I'm not familiar with that editing program though, so I can't really say much about it aside from it not having audio editing function.
