Really low average watch time

Hi everyone,
thanks for all the help found in this forum and for the support of some of you who checked out my channel and supported me. I am so thankful for that!
Today I looked deeper into my analytics and I saw that my videos have a really low average watch time of around 1:30. Am I really so boring... ?
I know that my intro is too long so I will try to bring my channel's variety across without listing the topics in the intro - but I am not very good at making intros so that's the best I could do.
Also people commented that they like my video but it seems in my analytics that most people quit after a minute or so.
Is my analytics just weird or are my videos really that boring? And if so, what could I do better? I know that I need a better mic, that I should sound more confident and say less "... em..."s but that is becuase I am not used much to speaking into a microphone except Skyping with my friends in England.
Have a successful day.

It could be your intro. It's almost 40 seconds long if you include the title of the video as well, so if YouTube is rounding it off to one minute then it's likely people got tired of watching the intro.

As a general rule, a YT intro should be 5 seconds or less if you can :)

Analytics don't lie, and it's really good that you're looking so deeply into them. I'm going to watch one of your videos and then drop some feedback here when I'm done.

Alright, I stopped watching at 2:40, here's the things I've noticed. Please don't take this feedback too harshly, keep an open mind about it and don't instantly get defensive about your content. I know we all hate having the videos we've worked hard on critiqued or criticized by others, but it's a part of learning and growing.

1. Intro. Fix it. This really is not an option, and I would change this before posting any other videos at all. If you have videos already rendered with that intro, go back and cut that intro out completely, or replace it before you upload those videos. I'd rather see a video go through the rendering process twice, and have possible quality issues, than watch a 40 second intro on a video. Especially one that is just text coming and going over and over again, most of which isn't related to the video I'm about to watch at all. An intro that's talking about poems and writing when I'm about to watch Minecraft seems very out of place.

2. Your commentary. You might want to consider doing post commentary until you get the hang of commentating in general. The pauses and umm's ruin the flow of the video. That being said the flow of the video is soo sloooooooow. Pick it up a little man. Get excited. Tell some stories, some jokes, something. Watching you stare at a hatch in the ceiling for about 45 seconds to a minute while talking in a monotone voice about what the slime is doing shouldn't have a place in your videos. I know that minecraft isn't always action, sometimes you're building, or mining, or gathering materials, and you can't really talk about what you're doing and keep it exciting, so talk about other things, do some voices, do something to keep it interesting.

3. Editing. This sort of goes along with the commentary. Don't be afraid to edit your videos. Did you spend 20 minutes mining for iron, and couldn't think of anything to say the whole time, so you didn't speak much, had a lot of umms, or just didn't really say anything important? Speed up the footage to like 30 seconds, remove the audio and add some music (or keep the audio in so it makes those funny little high speed noises). Use methods like fades and transitions to cut out parts of the video you think are boring, and switch from one scene to another. The effort will be noticeable.

the things I found tha you can improve on is :
1- the intro is too long, you have like 5-10 slides for it and it's like 30 mins long, go by the 30 second rule. if you interest your viewer in the first 30 seconds, it's most likely that they will watching more. try to make a point to your video, for example "i am playing this game because I want to show how I build the eiffel tower" something like that and show them the preview. As you are wasting the first 30 seconds with the intro, people will not find the point straight ahead and might get bored and click away.
2- the volum is really low. before uploading your video/ when you are recording the sound, try to compare it to other top channels and their video sound like piwdiepie, shanedawson, ijustine. Make sure that the user doesn't have to increase or decrease the volume when changing from one video to the other, we (viewers) are too lazy to do that. You can try investing in another microphone or just speak louder.

hope this had helped you ;)

Holy s**t :O Congratulations, that is really amazing! I'm impressed.
haha cheers :) I think it's cause my video with the most views is only about 4 minutes :) but still :P btw I just watched your MSMC class setup video all the way through :) you do really nice commentaries! :D
