Childish tripe. Whether you agree with her view on the game industry or not, it cannot be denied that she's done her research.
It's funny that you've brought this point up. There's numerous videos, and I mean NUMEROUS videos where she immediately bashes on a video game because of how it looks. Judging something can be as easy as 1, 2, 3, and most of the time, it requires little to NO research on someone's conclusion. If you consider that they've judged something based on how much research they've done, then it makes sense. FeministFrequency does LITTLE research, apparently, because she continuously contradicts herself in her statements to the point where she's pulling this s**t up from the ground.
For example, when she complained on the fact that Double Dragon Neon had women being oppressed considering how they dress, how they're "always a damsel in distress", and how they're weaker towards the male characters in this game.
...when in reality, she most likely did NOT see the entire game for what it really has in store for the player. She only watched the outside of it, the public version of how it's shown. If she would actually spend time on what she's trying to b***h about, maybe she'd reconsider what she has claimed it to be. I've played Double Dragon Neon, and the s**t that FemFreq gives it is so farce that it literally kills her credibility for what she says in the rest of the video.
That's called being a judgmental c**t. You're basing it off of what you witness rather than digging deeper into it. You need to research better if you're going to talk about it. It's a major problem that almost everyone in public journalism has. Either that they don't give a s**t, or they don't research good enough.
Quote: The whole purpose behind what she's trying to do is to hopefully influence developers in the direction of gearing more content to a gender neutral environment. She does raise a fairly significant number of valid points throughout.
Yeah, she really does bring up valid points. Let's recap her LEGO Friends video, shall we?
She claims that the Lego corp. is being separate in how they make a world for girls in Legos, but she then also complains about something so mundane, it literally killed her point in the rest of the video. She complains that this world has a lot of pink and purple, and saying how much it feels to be offended by 2 colors.
One of the reasons why this is a retarded argument to bring up is that she immediately assumes that everyone else has the exact same agreement with her, because she excludes the people who DOES like the colors pink and purple. She doesn't give any consideration to other thoughts, and only cares about what SHE think is right. Literally she does not bring up the fact that there are a large demographic of people who likes pink or purple in the rest of the video. Even so, she complains about the fact that tools are purple, a f*****g first world white girl problem.
How the f**k do you call something like this as a good point? What's a good point to you? Bringing up a one sided argument with out mentioning the people who actually has a different view? THAT'S a f*****g valid argument? That is as valid as beating the s**t out of a rabbit and saying that "If we don't kill them, they'll die". Not all of us is going to agree with this statement.
Quote: Personally I find some of the things she raises issues about to be meaningless byproducts of the rapidity of game design, but she has some genuine issues which are correct.
'Genuine issues which are correct'. Now I'm clearly starting to see why you're siding with her.
Quote: waflcake, your points are poorly chosen and any message you may have intended is whitewashed by your clear lack of understanding of the english language.
Do you realize that when I was replying to the other person about differences in words, it had nothing to do with the main topic of this? I'm glad you immediately assume that I'm trying to cover something up, because that brings another point:
How the f**k do you know if I was covering something up? What gives you the absolute right of automatically assuming that I'm covering something up just because I temporarily changed the topic about something else? Maybe I wanted to tell about what I think on that temporary made topic, maybe I AM covering something up, or maybe I'm doing something else.
You don't know what reason why I replied to it. You have NO right of telling me MY purpose of doing something just because you see plain text. This is a weak attempt to try to put something towards me.
(By the way, considering you're saying I have a lack of understanding of English, that's your opinion, so I'm not gonna go into this because it's irrelevant)
Quote:Your post is so blatantly sexist in how you wrote it that I'm not surprised you're furious at her, because you're sexist trash and her series challenges your beliefs.
So the fact that I claim on hating FemFreq, then continue to bring up points of why I hate FemFreq, including on explaining how she misuses real feminism by using one sided points, and even giving multiple examples, and making a hypothetical scenario which equivalents that of how the modern feminists are laughed at..... makes me sexist trash? That's logic that f*****g Onision would bring up.
But... OK. Sure. Being reasonable is too much for modern society, so I might as well go on a level you obviously understand.
"OMG I H8 FEM FREAK BECAUSE SHEZ UGLY AND FAT AND" etc etc etc.
That's what I think you're getting out of my sentence, and I am becoming more understanding on what you're seeing.
Quote:The fact of the matter is that she's always eloquent and polite (irrelevant), she defends the points that she makes and ultimately produces fairly high production value videos (f*****g irrelevant, refer to my succubus thing in my leading post please).
This kind of utter hatred is unproductive and not only have you missed the point, you've made yourself look like an idiot by doing so.
So basically you're saying that I missed the point of someone on the internet who's main job is to bring up one sided arguments with no consideration of the opposing team, someone who judges books by the cover without actually researching them inside out, and complains about the most mundane s**t that even a stereotypical hipster would call "too lazy and bitchy".
Sir... do you realize these points you've brought up is why Feminism is laughed at today?
