Questions about collab channels

I've Got It
Collab channel are fun and entertaining. Typically I read people all have access to one account and sign in to upload there video on a select day. I could see making an account and doing collabs for fun without ads plus it would boost your main channel.

Having everybody on one account how would ad revenue work as I've notice many collabs have ads. Is it split, does the main host only collect it? Doesn't the person whose account the the checking account is set to get worried somebody could potential do something with his/her info?

I personally would try to steer away from something like this.. For one reason mainly, trust. It doesn't matter how many people are on the channel, if it gets popular chances are ONE will think of changing the passwords etc and keeping it for themselves.

But if you can trust them, then go for it. ESPECIALLY if you know them all in real life, that way if one tries to steal the channel you can snot them in the face. <3

I think Google just found out a way to fix all that. You can now add managers to Google+ pages and you can give them certain permissions. Only the owner can delete the accounts and passwords, and the other managers can do whatever the owner assigns to them. I guess that's one positive of Google+ integration. I can't think of anything else that's good because of it...plus they could have done that regardless...but I digress.

As far as revenue sharing? I would assume the host/owner of the channel would collect the revenue.

While collaboration channels can be entertaining and fun, this is an important decision that you'll have to make before you start things up. As Kiki in the post above me suggested, you are now able to set managers for a specific channel, which allows for greater protection for channels that have multiple people using it. What it comes down to is what are you making the channel for? Just for fun? Or are you planning on making it something serious and collection revenue on it? You also need to plan out who will be a part of this, who will also get revenue from the channel, and if you're planning on adding more people in the future. While it could be fun, I suggest if you are planning to do this, to do it with close friends that you know in real life. Doing things over the internet can be difficult and lead to problems.
