Hey guys :D
So today i started my new LP on Zelda Skyward Sword, and i noticed this below my video:
Matched-Third Party Content

Is this copyright? I wanted to know because when i go to my channel settings, my copyrihgt thing is in good standing :O
Oh and if i wanted to become partner, would this get in the way? :O

Thank you :)

You cannot have any copyright content on your channel that you do not own the rights to. This will prevent you from getting a partnership.

They content owner may choose not to file a copyright strike - they may instead A. do nothing, or B. monetize your video for themselves.

You're still violating copyright though. So...ya know...cut that out :-P

Well okay thanks for the help people :'(

I have matched 3rd party content on two of my videos, because I did a couple of cover songs....but I'm not a partner...and...my account is also in good standing!

The content owners may not have filed a copyright strike. They might claim it as their own, and monetize it for themselves. Or they may do nothing.

Copyright on videos bugs the heck out of me. We bought your game. Now screw off. I have a great deal of respect for developers that allow you to make videos of their games and do whatever you want with it, as long as you mention them in the description somewhere. Heck, many indie devs don't even ask for that and just say to do what you want.

You bought the game TO PLAY (unless you paid thousands of dollars to redistribute, in which case, you're entirely correct)

I get that, but posting a video will not harm a developer 95% of the time. Some developers say they don't want the story posted because then people will just watch the videos instead of buying the game. The people that watch those probably weren't going to buy it anyway.
