I myself have a gaming channel of YouTube.. I was curious if any of you out there use scripts for your videos. I don't doubt it would be possible, but I feel like for a script to work you'd have to potentially know the outcome of the game you're playing. Let me know!

Are you asking if you script a LP? I script things like reviews, but LPs are generally more "Talk as you go!" type deal. I for sure know you can make a bullet-point list of things to talk about at certain points. I know Chuggaconroy does something similar when he does his LP since he mostly does "100% Completion" playthroughs.
 
Yes, I was talking about an LP. I was curious to see if anyone does it, but yes I do agree on the "Talk as you go" statement. I feel like it is the easiest way to do it considering how unexpected games can get.
 
You can do a script LP by not using live commentary!

You record the game by itself, and then when you're editing, you dub over with your scripted commentary.

Well dang, I honestly never thought of it like that. Really good idea actually. No one would even be able to tell the difference!
 
I personally like doing "talk as you go" commentaries. If i scripted everything i said in my videos, i would feel so fake lol
 
Gaming isn't really my forte, but I wouldn't want to put out something like a lets play being scripted. Game reviews? Sure. But not a "watch me play" kinda deal.

Usually in LP's, the idea is to let loose and say what's on your mind. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to script out your commentary, I feel like it would be bland and somewhat messy at times. Examine your surroundings in the game and talk about your thoughts!
