PS3 Screen Recorder?

Does anyone know of a screen recorder that I can download on my laptop then connect it to my PS3 with HDMI? I am willing to pay...

NOTE 1: HDMI ONLY
NOTE 2: NO CAPTURE CARD

Sorry, it does not work like that. You need a capture card either in the form of the actual device or something called a pci express card. The PCIe card can be placed into your PC to record, but since you have a laptop, there will be no room to do so. Your only option is to buy the capture card (Elgato, HDPVR2 etc).

Just curious, why no capture cards?

All the wires and pricing.

Lol seriously:p

For PS3 you need to invest in a capture card(Elgato, Avermedia ect). And besides it won't work in your situation because of the HDCP protection via HDMI on PS3. Only component works.
Oh yeah, with all the PS4 talk, I forgot the pS3 had HDCP protection... That means OP needs component cables.

Avermedia Game Capture HD
or HD PVR1

Use a potato to record your screen. If that doesn't work well, bake it and put sour cream ,cheese and bacon on it. If that still doesn't get you results just eat it.

Sorry, but you really need to invest in a capture card of some sort. Capture cards usually come with all the wires you need. In the big picture $100-$200 isn't too much money. Yes I work for $9.30ish ~ a hour, but if you're not paying for bills yet you'll get there sooner or later! Most people's phones cost more than that anyway XP

You can record your videos with ps3, with it you can upload to youtube, than download with pc and edit them :D
Not the best option, but if you're desperate this is an alternative. BTW, DJ, is there any time limits of how long you can record per video?
