Promotion Techniques?

Hey everyone! :)
So I'm Fi, and my channel is FiSaysHi :P
I started it about 2 weeks ago, and have 14 subs which I'm over the moon with :D
But I've seen a lot of people who have been running their channel for the same amount of time and they have managed to get a few hundred - 1000 subscribers already?! :O
It must be more than just what content they upload, and I'm guessing it's something to do with how they promote their channels on Twitter and other sites :)
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I could start to grow my channel a bit more? :)

- Thanks, FiSaysHi

When I upload a video I post it everywhere I think it would reach the right people.

I usually post on Twitter, forums, steam, subreddits, tumblr and I'm still hunting for more :P

It's annoying to have to go through and do each one but it's worth it, I get more views than I did with my old channel where I only posted to twitter.

:)

Thankyou for the advice! :) I'll be sure to do that in the future! :D

Question is, what subreddits would you recommend to submit videos to and not make it look like spamming?

tumblr isn't as effective as the other places but it's possible for someone to stumble over your videos while looking for artwork related to that game.

If you go to the steam community pages you can link your videos to a game and they get added to the community feed.

There's subreddits specifically for youtubers and gaming videos. You could also go to a subreddit for a particular game and post it there, as long as it doesn't break that subreddits rules.
