Promoting on Twitter?

So as a new channel, I've been trying to reach out and utilize every social network I can to spread my videos.

I've been using twitter as a constant feed for my uploads/activity, but I don't know if it's going to work, either that or I just don't know how to do it properly?

Anyone have any tips or advice for promoting videos?? :)

I see people (not big twitters) get really successful video shares through twitter, but I can't figure out how they do it. D:
Well mostly because they have a following on Twitter, talk about a subject that is being searched for a lot or they just know how to promote a tweet, you know you can even share a tweet. Or hell, maybe they just buy likes and comments to make it look like they are successful on Twitter... Who knows...

Most people that are 'big' on twitter they were tweeting before they started promoting.

There are many ways to get your videos out there on social media.

Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Pintrest etc

I use all of these platforms to the best of my knowledge and I don't really see any noticeable difference unfortunately. :c

When using Twitter, if you make a video public, type the title of the game in the message box. If you want you can use #tags in the message box as they show up in Twitter too. Just keep in mind Twitter is 140 words max. I always try to at the least put the game title of some sort in the message box, harder for GTA 5 cause of all the variations. I've had random paradoy accounts reweet my stuff, not exactly ideal since those parody accounts reweet so much that your tweet would get lost anyways, but it's a start? Also, if you're following bigger YouTubers or game devs, don't hesitate to favourite, and if you have friends who might watch their stuff, retweet too, this is more of a karma thing (in a sense what goes around comes around) but at the sametime reweets can be found if someone is searching them, by chance. Other people suggest following people on other peoples tweets and then unfollowing them if they haven't followed back within 24hrs or just unfollowing them since it will notify them, I personally feel that's unethical in a way since I find it annoying when it happens to me, I see it so much when I get followed by random companies or random people and I'm like "yeah nice try". But if you see a Tweet that you genuinely like or a reply that you genuinely like, don't hesistate to favourite it, DON'T just go around favouriting any reply/tweet lol unless it's someone you follow and you want to favourite all their stuff, go ahead, it's like showing support. Get into that mentality and you'll slowly atract attention. I feel doing it this way is a more genuine and ethical way, it's 50/50 but I don't care if it doesn't attract attention. Using #tags though, whole different field for me, I'm still figuring out that 1 lol Same methods can be applied to Google's system as well since they tried to combine Facebook & Twitter but ended up with the abomination known as Google+, +1s are like favourites, shares are like retweets. So basically Twitter and Google+ are like FB when you eventually learn to use them more. Except for G+ actually, that's still weird.

You've not got a single post of your tumblr. A lot of my views have come from my tumblr because I post daily and talk to people on it.
