Promoting My Channel

I'm after advice on how to promote my channel and gain new subscribers. Is there any sites anyone can recommend where I can embed my videos on that will help me gain more views/subscribers

If you get enough yttalk cash for VIP, you can promote your videos here :)

I found an almost exact replica of this post a few hours ago, and I will say the same thing I did in the last thread. Promoting your channel all depends on whether or not you are willing to spend a little cash on better promotion. If you are strapped for cash, I would suggest just posting your videos on your personal Facebook and Twitter pages, and you can get some personal feedback if your friends watch your videos. I know that Reddit is a good place to post your videos on a site that allows you to post to just your target audience. I don't know how to use reddit, but I have heard that it yields good results. Also, YouTube has added a feature called Fan Finder. This tool allows you to submit one of your videos as an ad that runs at the beginning of someone else's videos. This will not guarantee you any extra views, but it's worth a shot.

If you are willing to put some money into your promotion, YouTube allows you to invest in an advertisement campaign. This is probably the best way to get more views, but it will take a small chunk out of you capital. I have never used an ad campaign, but I have heard of great results.

I also recommend trying some Search Engine Optimization. If you don't know what that is, there are some great tutorials on this site that I recommend you check out. I recommend starting out by simply optimizing your keywords. You can do this by looking at your title and making sure you use all of the keywords from your title in you description. This will help you get higher on the search list. I will give you an example of one of my videos that is at the top of the search with only 70 views.

Now, if you look at the description in my video, I used every keyword from my title at least once. When you search for my video, it comes up 2nd on the search list. If you try all of these techniques, you will get more views unless something was done wrong.

I hope this was helpful.

There are sites like that but the vast majority wont work, the best place to promote your content is where your target audience currently is online, if that's gaming then gaming communities, gaming blogs and so on. Most sites which offer views will have other video makers promoting their videos there and the vast majority are only interested in promoting their own videos which would be the same reason you would be there, it just doesn't work unfortunately. It is the equivalent of signing up here, plonking your video down and leaving, no one will care to watch or very few would, you need to network naturally on sites where these people are if you are wanting to go down the free route :)

As I mentioned before, try places that are related to your niche and if you cant freely advertise on them due to restrictions such as forum terms, comment terms for blogs etc contact the sites and come up with an advertising deal with them, not many YouTubers are doing that and I dont think it will be long before many of them go down that route.

Once you get enough YTtalk cash you can put your videos in your signature here, other than that google+, facebook and twitter. :)

Forums, Facebook, and other random sites are what I've used. I recently had a video accepted to viralviralvideos.com and it's gotten over 600 views today. Before that it had about 1400 in almost 3 weeks.

Networking is probably the most important aspect if you don't wanna spend. Reddit is also a massive element of this. You should read some guides by @uberdanger
