Progression.

SimplyRodney

I never knew I could change this. What the heck.
So a few days ago, I was discouraged as to why I have 250 subs and only about half of them only watched my videos (if even). I was kinda frustrated. I felt like complaining to you guys, haha, but I decided not to. And then I went on twitter and found a Youtuber post this:

"I don't mean it in a moany way. Views are clearly NOT why I do YT, but it's hard to stay motivated if you cant see some kind of progression"

That's basically how I felt! but I couldn't express it. Do you guys ever feel like this? I know I see a lot of Youtubers who barely get half of the views compared to their subscriber count (does that make sense?), but I don't know why it bothers me so much! ahhh.

Keep fighting.
I restarted channels 2 times.
I am keep fighting.
Do not give up my friend.

I definitely will! I won't give up. And plus, creating a new Youtube channel nowadays is so freaking complicated thanks to Google Plus...lol. So I definitely won't be doing that xD[DOUBLEPOST=1374790378,1374790325][/DOUBLEPOST]
As a general, unwritten rule, 20% of your subs will watch your videos, if you're lucky.

I just don't understand why subscribe if you won't even watch, lol.

Lately I have been more cautious about where I get my subs from.

I'm totally guilty of this, as a YouTuber, I have zero time watching other YouTube videos, so I try to keep my sub list as manageable as possible (I think it's at 103 or something). I feel there are many other YouTubers who feel the same. They have maybe 5-10 people they watch regularly and the rest probably are a "if I feel like it I'll watch it" kinda thing.

I know the trend is to not have your view count reach your total sub numbers, but I don't think that has to be the case if you are small. I'm at a 165 subs, I sure as hell hope my videos can at least hit that number cuz it's not that big.

I know not all my subs watch my stuff, which does make me disappointed, but like someone told me, you just have to move on and keep looking for an audience that will watch your stuff.

If your current audience is disappointing you, find a new one.[DOUBLEPOST=1374790537,1374790485][/DOUBLEPOST]

Come on Rodney, you know some youtubers sub you, comment and suck up just so you sub back, then never watch your stuff... it's just the way it is...

I have over 2,500 subscribers.. and my views on my videos are around 200-400 when fully supplanted. Of course i have a few videos where the views are many more!

Different communities get different percentages of subscribers:views per video. For instant most animators on youtube get a much higher view number than their subscribers, but a lot of daily vloggers will get a small percentage of views in amount to their subscribers.

I haven't had any of those youtubers who sucked up to me yet, lol. Don't want any of them unless I would actually like their content if I fell for their sucking tactics. That sounds so wrong, hahaha. I've just stopped promoting myself now, not completely, but I use to promote myself a lot! And that's probably where I got those dead subbies. So I'm just gonna chill and hopefully gain subscribers naturally.[DOUBLEPOST=1374791131][/DOUBLEPOST]

Definitely. Daily vloggers post every day and if their subscribers are busy that day or doing something else, they most likely won't ever see it. That happens to me! And I sometimes just get so lazy that I don't even wanna watch their vlogs, lol. I do eventually, but maybe about a week or so later xD Sorry, totally went off topic.

Yeah exactly and most vloggers im subscribed to I usually pick and chose what video to watch from the title and thumbnail :) so maybe try and optimize them? might have a better effect, i dont know aha xD
