Processing too long.

For some reason the video I uploaded 5 HOURS AGO is still processing, why is this?
 
A common glitch - happens once every few weeks or months. Most probably at the end it will tell you that it failed to process. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. The bug usually disappears after 24h.
 
Haven't seen such bug yet and i upload like hell. Maybe it applies to specific continent only? Would be nice to know in which part of the world you are located.
 
How long are your videos?
How long are your uploads usually?
Do you have a bunch of tabs and other apps. open?
Could there possibly be a lot of devices in your house using wifi or doing some heavy downloads?

I've never seen this happen, but there are a lot of factors that could be playing. Or It could be a glitch.

Usually if I see an upload will take more than an hour and a half-two hours, I just cancel it and try again in a few minutes.
 
How long is your video and the uploaded quality matters when it comes to YouTube processing. I've uploaded hour-long events to YouTube and it can take 2 days to process. Also, my 4K video take some time from 3 to 6 to 12 hours to process. Just give it time and it will eventually process.
 
I've found that processing takes a long time IF:

You upload a video without editing any of the fields, such as title, description, tags, etc.

To ensure faster uploads and processing time:

Update the title, add in some description like "to be entered", and one or two generic tags while the video is uploading. As long as you change the upload from the default information it displays, your upload/processing will be faster than if you just uploaded a video without changing any of that information.
