well I do lets plays and was just wondering. how important you guys think a unique personality is. I try to keep my videos upbeat and fun. what about you guys?
 
Personality is a major part of it :). I mean as long as you are yourself I don't care. If you over play it and over react and stuff than I loose interest right away.
 
Having an upbeat and unique personality can be the difference between someone staying and leaving. Think about it this way, you know when tutorial videos were really big a couple of years back (still are, but not as much), and people used to just type in notepad, and you got really bored and just left because they were always god awful at typing? Its like that, you wanted to have an audio tutorial because it would prove to be less annoying and generally more useful. Same with LP's, if you make it fun and interesting, then people will be more inclined to stay, always remember, the first 30 seconds are the most important, they decide usually whether someone stays or not, make them count. :)

yeah I have been slowly learning these things and trying to improve. but one thing i learned us humans attention span is short lol. :P[DOUBLEPOST=1365475880,1365475832][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah that's very true, and you need to "catch" them before they get distracted :)
