People with many subscribers asking you to subscribe to them?! :/

So there is this girl who sent me a message asking me to subscribe to me, yeah subscribe ,she didn't say could you please check out my chnnel or anything like that. So I checked out her chnnel and she had around 20k subscribers, so I was like what the hell?! Also she got many views as well. SO why are some people like this? (I mean if I had 20k subscribers I wuld feel like I m dreaming lol). So yeah it just sounds sort of desperated, don't you think? :S

Yeah that's a bit strange.
Did it look like a generic message? Maybe she just sends out loads to random people to try and boost her numbers.
 
My guess, either she is botted, or she used tubetoolbox to spam message people, OR she simply earned the subs but doesn't know how to ask people to subscribe, seems kinda greedy in a way, not that you shouldn't be aloud to ask but just telling someone to subscribe in a message is just....

uhm it was something like "hello sorry if I sound spammy but I'm trying to introduce my channel to new people, wuld you mind subscribing?" or something like that :/

yeah I know what you mean, if she had told me hey would you mind checking out my channel and maybe subscribing if you like it?, then that would have sounded better.
 
It seems like a fake if she has that many subs. If she had that many subs, she wouldn't need to keep asking. The subs and views would just flow constantly. Seems like she is botted.
