People commenting???

We now have 148 subscribers and every week we get 1-2 comments max and we love comments, criticism, questions, or requests, we have a few suscribers so why do people never comment is it just us or are there other people that have this issue just wondered why and how to get people to??? aha thanks everyone! :)
 
It's hard to get people to comment, I have 711 subscribers now, and I still only get a couple comments on each video. You really have to give them a reason to comment
 
Like the person above said, it is hard to get people to comment. You have to do something that would make them want to comment. Check out the videos you have had the most comments on and try to see the differences between the videos with and without comments. Your videos are comment worthy so I do wish that you can find a solution. - A.J.
 
Well it depends on what your videos are about. Whenever I make videos about topics that are my opinions or something about YouTube that I have opinions on, I will get more comments. Or if you say I enjoy getting comments, or at the end of some videos - not all as this will annoy people - just say and remember to leave comments, I will reply to them all. I have 125 subscribers, but I feel if you reply to comments people will comment on another video because they remember that you replied the last time they said something. I have found though even with my small subscriber number - compared to bigger YouTubers - I get lots of comments which I simply have to delete from my video because people choose to use my video as a way of getting people to subscribe to them, which I really don't understand I don't get that many views on my videos...
 
Well comments are really random to be honest. They really are just random on smaller channels often and not in huge amounts. But still getting any comment is nice well most are I can`t say I have had a terrible comment .......... yet:help:
 
I was thinking the same thing to myself a while ago, but then I looked at it from my perspective and I myself rarely comment on videos since I don't have a reason to, you need to bring in stuff that will get people commenting. :)
 
ok thanks everyone i see what you are saying, and i rarely comment on videos too, just a while back we got quite a few people commenting nice things etc now we are lucky to get 1 and our audience is growing so just wondered thanks! :)
 
Someone actually asked me how I get so many comments when I don't have a huge amount of subscribers (I had about 150 at the time) I guess its to do with your content and who watches your videos :)
