Pc or laptop better for recording/editing/gaming?

Usually a PC since even laptops designed for gaming have lesser voltage to decrease heat and power consumption which in turn reduces the power of the CPU, GPU and memory, you'll get much more Power out of a $1000 pc than you would out of a $1k Laptop.
 
Unless you constantly travel and plan on recording while traveling then PC, they are customizable upgradeable and offer better performance per dollar. There is no real reason to have a laptop for recording and editing. Laptop would only be acceptable for gaming if you constantly travel, that's about it and then I would still have a PC at home and the laptop as a secondary.
 
A full on PC's always gonna be better than a laptop. Laptops were made to be portable, software-wise it is much weaker.
 
Well a PC is obviously more powerful, especially for the price. I guess it depends on how GPU/CPU intensive the games you generally play are, and if you like to take the computer on the go to play/render/whatever else, a high end laptop would be good. With all that said, i would definitely just go with PC.
 
Both! But I do 90% of editing sound mixing etc on a pc. My laptop is only handy on recording audio on location or making a rough edit from the footage taken while I'm on location.
