Paying for a license

I've Got It
This may sound a dumb question but as I've not come across this situation before so I thought I'd ask the people that might have experience in it.
I've been contacted by a large Youtube channel (4.5 million subs) who I won't name, offering me $150 to license one of my videos so they can use it on their channel.
Is this a normal sort of thing that happens?

I've heard of channels offering people money to use their footage before so I wouldn't say it's abnormal. I'd still be cautious about it regardless of how many subs they have. But you could look at it as an opportunity to boost traffic. If you feel $150 is good enough for you, go for it otherwise charge more if you feel like it but add some terms and conditions, like having to add your channel name in the part that shows your video and crediting you, putting your channel link as an annotation and putting your channel link in the description lol I dunno xD

I had a similar offer for an animal video on a secondary channel I own. They wanted to do a compilation video with it and I said no lol.

Did they send you the license agreement?

No because we never got that far. I also got an offer from break.com and their license agreement was/is available online on their website so i could view it there :)[DOUBLEPOST=1392463963,1392463844][/DOUBLEPOST]I think I know who is offering you the deal because the $150 was an amount I was offered by a site too :)

Thanks for that.
I've asked them to send over the agreement so i guess we'll just have to wait and see how it reads.

Thanks for the replies guys. The license has come through and it all seems legit so happy days.
I really don't think trying to haggle over the rate is going to get me anywhere ;)
