xD i sed that is my opinion and its sometihng caled " freadom of speach " if you didnt know and i am 13 xD plus there plenty of ways to get money and if you have payed subscription you will lose a lot of fanbase and by having larger fanbase the good old partnership will give you more money than payed subscription so by not having paye subscription you are losing money compared to simple partnership.

Bad idea for them, marketing will suck a**. Good idea for us, crowds won't want to pay and will gravitate to our free channels!

It's for TV shows.
 
I don't know how it is going to work .
If it's they way Twitch is doing it now , i think it's a cool thing .
You pay monthly 5 dollars to directly support the streamer and you get an ads free stream and other useless stuff .
If you don't pay you get the same stream but with ads and don't have the other useless perks ( like special emoticons and stuff like that ) .
IMHO it's ok this way .

I have it. I'm probably never going to activate it.

You don't. You have the ability to apply for the paid subscription program, but you don't have the ability to activate it-only youtube can do that and they're being really picky. The only channels that have been approved already have paid content on other platforms.
